Spirit Messenger – Costume Design for Butoh Performance at SomArt, Somerville

Spirit Messenger is a custom costume I designed for a live Butoh dance performance at SomArt in Somerville, Massachusetts. This piece was created to support the slow, ritualistic movement language of Butoh.

This project reflects my approach to experimental costume design, material exploration, and performer collaboration come together to create wearable art for contemporary performance.
